Yeah it was pretty aggressive for stock motor especially with the fp red having a tiny exhaust housing, but i have a goal of running 10s on pump with the red and i intend to do so no matter what it takes

Sucks when this type of thing happens, but at least you have some other fun cars to keep you occupied while you wait to find out what happened. Good luck.

I guess one day we'll all go through a rebuild on our motors if we decide to keep them for awhile!

Sucks bro. Hopefully its just the HG that blew!

But ya, your running a lot of boost for the stock block but money doesn't seem to be a problem for you hahah How's the R35 in comparison to your evo?

I hope its the head gasket too as i dont really want to build 2 motors at once and the gtr is awesome but i have something for the evos that i just love that just have so much differwnt directions to go and i like how they dont have really any electronics.

Sorry to hear but at level nothing should have went bad unless you had picked up a bad tank of gas or the * was way to high do you remember what it was??The stock frame turbos' are awesome but not on the stock block due to the crazy ramp rates ,fast spool up ,and tq just smacking at low rpms stock rods hate that. The way you described the issue I'm thinking it's just a H.G cause it didn't pull the side rod trick.

60whp is a huge difference.... and again WHP doesnt matter. torque kills motors, not horsepower

Well if the temp dropped that much your boost must have spiked over 5 psi so you were 35 psi instead of 30 psi..

There is no way that your car tuned @ 110° saw an ambient temp drop of 60°, and didnt spike. How is your boost regulated? Ecu? Manual? EMS?
