Scared stupid

What's up guys and gals. Well last night I almost broke down into a corner and started crying because I thought I killed my baby. I just got back off a deployment and just started leave. Now prior to leaving for my folks here in Arkansas I installed a few go fast bits on my WW 8. Well last night we were planning to go out, ended up meeting with some friends and when it was time to go I got on it coming out of the parking lot and then disaster. Pop pop pop pop pop. My girl had that I wanna go but I'm not getting enough of something. Well my dumb **** thought I had lost the clutch again. And that's all due to the noise I believed to be a disc spinning. And the reason for being scared was the last time I came home I lost my clutch so in my head I'm thinking oh the irony. Well I drive the 10 miles to get back home taking it real easy and I sit and bask in a beer or two while checking the forums and it dawns on me. I'm not thinking simple. I go out and look at my intercooler plumbing. Sure enough I blew the LICP right off the dump. WHEW!!!!! So I'm out to install it again this morning and hopefully everything else is ok. Thanks for reading and enjoy your day evom

Yeah I've had that happen one or two times after adjusting pipes.
Didn't happen on my evo yet, but it happened a few times on my 2g, all you can do is sit back and roll your eyes and say gahhhhh.
And thank you for serving our country

I thought you were talking about a kid hahaha, whew. I usually spray some hairspray on my piping where the coupler is going to go, it gives it just enough adhesion to hold in place, yet be taken off easily if you need it.

The hairspray trick is pretty good or you could try some of the 3m carpet spray adhesive. It's got a little more stick than the hairspray but you have to clean it off everytime you want to adjust stuff.

Man that 10 miles must have been along drive. When that happened to me on my boosted 240 I couldn't even drive it because the maf wasn't getting a proper reading.

Yeah that 10 miles was rough. I was actually in denial at first and then when I finally got home I really just wanted to ball up on a corner. But in all my girls running great. That ETS LICP I guess I just didn't put it on tight enough. And my WW is wingless without any bumperstickers. The only one I've seen here in town was a GG MR
