You should always perform a boost leak test after messing around with the intercooler piping. It only takes a few minutes but can save you lots of headache.

Same thing happened to me less than a week after I bought the car! Thought for sure I broke it. The 20 mile drive home sucked! Glad it was an easy fix for you though!

Never a good sound.

I had my UICP blow off during a small 2nd gear pull and I instantly started sweating, turned the radio off and started saying some words mamma wouldn't be proud of. It was like standing in close range of a shotgun and followed by some random spuddering and rank smell of fuel being dumped and not burned.. I pulled off the main road and didn't even wanna pop the hood. I did and the Clamp had blown off (I just finished painting my UICP that day and didnt reef them tight.) never the less I've almost bent the piping from tightening the coupler down. I don't wish that upon anyone!
