EVOlutionary and Bruzewski Set Their Sights on ONE LAP OF AMERICA
12/12/2010
Racing enthusiasts Jarrod Hoops and David Bruzewski of Midland, Michigan have teamed up to compete in the 2011 Tire Rack MotorTrend Cannonball One Lap of America race in the well-know Showcase Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX race car. Over a period of just 9 days, the One Lap of America competitors will battle it out in wet skidpad, dry skidpad, autocross and time trial competitions at venues such as The Tire Rack test facility, Summit Point Raceway, Carolina Motorsports Park, BMW Performance Center, Daytona International Speedway, Gainsville Raceway, NOLA Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park, and Autobahn Country Club.
THE DRIVERS:
Jarrod Hoops (known as EVOlutionary on EvolutionM.net web forums) is the car owner/creator and has been racing Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions since 2004. Jarrod has racked up a respectable resume in the SCCA Solo2 world including 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th place trophies in his 5 years attending the Solo2 National Championship race. In the past couple years he has branched out into the NASA HPDE/TT realm of road racing and plans to compete for the NASA TTU crown in the Midwest and Great Lakes Divisions in 2011. So far Jarrod has been on-track multiple times at Mid-Ohio, Blackhawk Farms, Grattan, and Gingerman Raceway. Jarrod's EVOs have been featured in advertisements for The Tire Rack and also Hoosier Tires in both Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and Sports Car Magazine.
David Bruzewski (known as Bruzewski on EvolutionM.net web forums) has been racing Mitsubishis since 2002. He started his passion with a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T, but later fell in love with the EVO platform and has been in search of the ultimate EVO since 2005. His daily-driver EVO is currently the fastest EVO in Michigan, recording multiple 9.9 second quarter mile passes at the drag strip. David and his 750 horsepower street beast also hold the distinction of appearing in 5-straight issues of DSport Magazine, including one full feature article and a DVD feature. His EVO is worldwide, having been featured in DVDs in Australia and other countries. David has also recently been bitten by the NASA HPDE/TT bug, participating in track events at MidOhio, Blackhawk Farms, Gingerman and Autobahn.
THE CAR:
Jarrod started his racing career in his then daily driver, a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. After racking up 50,000 miles in 2 years and placing 9th in his first trip to Solo2 Nationals in 2006 Jarrod decided that if he was going to get serious about racing, then he needed to start with the best available platform. He sold his 2004 EVO, kept all the best aftermarket parts, bought a new 2006 EVO RS and spent the past 4 years refining it into what it is today - a well-rounded race car that performs in any venue. Drag racing, autocross, road course - it does it all!

SPONSORSHIP:
Hoops and Bruzewski are currently looking for sponsorship support from vendors, manufacturers, shops, etc. who would like to be their partner in gunning for a One Lap title. ALL of the current graphics on the car will be stripped come spring, then a new graphics package will be created showcasing the great companies who have helped make this dream a reality. The car will be raced in this new livery at the One Lap of America tour, as well as the entire 2011 SCCA Solo2 and 2011 NASA TT seasons. A wide range of sponsorship/promotion deals are available from the simple to the extreme. You want to fund their entire One Lap endeavor - they will wrap the entire car with thousands of your company's logos!
What the Hoops/Bruzewski team have to offer your company:
From team member Jarrod Hoops: "I would like to personally thank all those who have helped make this car what it is today. Without your help and support none of this would be possbile, and I'd be sitting at home bored every weekend during the summer!
I would specifically like to thank Showcase Mitsubishi, Pure Tuning, DHP Composites, TeamRip and GiroDisc for all they have contributed to this project. I sincerely thank you. "

What the Hoops/Bruzewski team have to offer your company:

- daily updates with videos and pictures (in car and exterior) during the week of the race - posted to EvolutionM.net, YouTube, Facebook, and our upcoming blog. We have mobile internet and will be editing/posting videos, blogging, and keeping EVOM updated as we drive from one event to the next, as well as real-time updates at each race.

- very high probability of coverage in multiple magazines
- Title Sponsor - cover entry fees ($2900): The car will be known as "The ??????? EVO" in all posts/updates/articles over the next year. You will be listed as THE sponsor in all OLOA communications. Your company logo will be the dominant name on the car.
- Cash Sponsorship - To help cover things like hotel fees, gas, buying a trailer, fire suits, etc.
- Parts Sponsorship - If you want us to use your parts please contact me to discuss a deal. Wheels, tires, suspension bits, power bits, video cameras, data acquisition (will post all data), oil, bling, apparel, etc. . .
- Helping Hands - EVO enthusiasts along the route we can call in case of major failure who may be willing to help wrench on the car if necessary, or even stand around and give up moral support! (car has been extremely reliable and only has 8,000 miles so hopefully we will not need this service

This year is going to be crazy fun and I have a feeling there will be several Evos battling in the top 10 this year. Considering the driving talent in your car there will be no rest for any of the teams prepping for this years 2011 One Lap event! Good luck with your search for sponsors, I know all about trying to fund my racing habbits on a limited budget and finding that perfect sponsor match can be a real benefit to everyone involved.
