Question about FP Red setups
I've only had my car 8-9 months so I don't know everything about it yet, but I always find myself doing tons of research and changing my mind over and over again. I've seen so many different results and heard so many different opinions on FP Red + Bolts ons on stock block set ups. I'm not sure what to expect or who to go with to tune my car yet so I'm just looking for input.
My mods are in my sig. From what I've researched I'm hoping for 420-450whp and 360-380wtq with a tune for my car come spring. I've seen a ton of numbers above and below these though while spending countless hours searching on EvoM. So I guess the input I'm looking for is, and granted the car is in sound condition, no boost leaks and etc, what kind of numbers I should expect without being on the ragged edge so to speak. The whole horsepower numbers game just drives me nuts! People with FP Red setups and vendors/tuners please chime in!

Keep in mind alot of people like to keep the tq low so they dont have a chance to blow the stocker not everybody can afford a complete motor overhaul.

wow man you have some nice mods for sure. Time for a built block(since you have the basics) now boss lol there are several different ways to get it tuned to be honest. if you dont mind driving check out all the shops around you and there ratings or you could go with a email tune from tscompusa(doing a great special now) or Mellon tuning. Seemed like you have all your basic bolt ons covered with porting action so long as your not in the 420tq range sky is the limit. you will not have issues getting your 400-450 for sure.

My numbers are from a high reading Mustang dyno, so I'd guess that I'm between 420-430hp as a rough guess until I see what it puts down at the track, so I'd say your good
. The best thing is that it feels great

Wow and you ran an 11.6 at 120 with that setup? Are you on 93 with those bluemax 1250cc injectors?
No, those are old numbers from the track when I was at 427hp/365tq on a Mustang dyno at a different location. Issues w/ phantom knock from my transfer case going out (unknown at the time) really made for a conservative tune then. It's was retuned after the x-fercase repair with no issues and running great, so I can't wait to see what it does with the new numbers before I switch to SD
.
I'm definitely building it asap, I've already started saving money and collecting parts! lol I'm dying for a build, but I'm stuck on the stocker for now...I just got depressed tonight when someone told me I would get numbers lower than I expected with my setup :-/ I'm plenty happy with low 400s believe me I just want to make sure I can get there. It's going to be a year or so for my build so I just want to be happy. Speaking of which is your 93 tune coming anytime soon?
Rochester is STM territory. If I were you that's where I would be taking my car. No personal experience with them but they are very involved on the forum and I always got a good vibe from them. great product line-up on their website too. good luck with everything...just keep doing ur research and taking ur time...haste makes waste
