I considered all of that. However I wanted the car, didn't want to go to court and I was given the money to fix it. Most of the time it was off the road was because I had a "friend" put it back together...and I'll never do that again. But it's so great to be driving the car again!!

not too sure about this one either. "The warranty coverage can be denied only if the aftermarket part caused the malfunction or damage for which warranty coverage is sought." memorize this for every car you ever purchase. 40k and 2 years down the drain.. i believe i would have spent that 9k on a few lawyers, and court costs. you would have won even if you had a retard for a lawyer. you would have gotten 9k for your lawyer fee back, compensated for time loss at work and if you had a good lawyer, you could have gotten a little pocket cash... hell your x may still be with you... but if all of that failed, i would have taken a morning duece on the supervisor's doorstep every single day for two years.

exactly...that's why I said i think the story is bogus...also, no man, woman, or child is dumb enough to hand over a credit card with a 9000 limit and say go nuts. sounds like what really happened is that you broke the car yourself right after you bought it, fixed it, then made this story up to get love from the EVO community because you were the poor victim.

I'm sorry to hear about your car. I agree with most the members in saying you should of done more. I couldn't justify letting mitsubishi bend me over like that.

no way man, if you win a case the other party does not pay for your lawyer fee's nor would they award you money for lost time

I guess we all learned something new today: an aftermarket exhaust can destroy your drivetrain, lol,... not. I can't believe they got away with that. I would have loved to have been in that court room with all that BS flying around in there.
