Finally got this car on the road again after 2 years waiting. Nice to see things going so well in the DSM world. Hello everyone, looking forward to reading up.

This is a fun story. Bought the car in feb 07' with 1 mile. Drove it off the lot later finding out the shipping bump stops were still in the springs..hmm haha. No biggie I took them out went on with driving 12,000 miles later the tranny seized up, drained the tranny and tcase less then a quart came out of both. I tried to fight the dealer they said my aftermarket exhaust caused the problem. Once everything was figured out, I was notified that the car was never PDI'd after coming off the truck, still had the factory amount of oil in the trans and tcase for shipping purposes...they wouldn't fix it and sent me on my way. I figured hell since I'm going to be in there why not throw some money into it..I went with what you see in the sig. Had a friend put it together rebuild trans etc etc. Got it on the road a year later and the tcase went 300 miles later from previous heat damage. Car sat for another year I replaced tcase, mech. checked everything, through it on the Dyno, and here I am years later 12,000 miles on a 9 mr haha.

Wait wait wait...You just gave up when they clearly didn't do their job. An aftermarket catback cannot cause you to blow up your tranny/tcase and such. Well, as long as your not driving like a dumba**. I would have fought to the death to have my car fixed if I was in your shoes.

I brought a lawyer to them...they matched me with 3 of there's. Apparently they were more convincing to the arbitrator. Next step was court, and I was not in the mood to pay or go forward with it. Luckily my x felt so bad she handed me a credit card with a 9k limit and said spend it all haha.

The situation sucks, but at least you have your still new car back. Hope your luck is better in the future.

i wouldnt of gave up either, the stealership is quick to deny warranty work. Either way its good to hear that you fixed it and can drive it now and enjoy the car.

story sounds bogus...that's not a warranty claim. that's an issue where they didn't properly prepare the car in the first place. there's no way on earth they should have gotten out of being responsible for that. also, if any of this did happen the way you say it did, why didn't you put the stock exhaust back on before bringing it in? that's just common sense

dude i dont car if they brought 10 lawyers, i would have fought that **** to the end PERIOD. How you gona buy a 35k car and put another 10k to get it to run properly, and not drive it for two years. I would have stoped paying for it and left it on their lot.
