Its suprising how many sellers of all types of cars are oblivious to that.

someone will buy anything if the price is right. like many people said before don't expect to get anything near what you put into it. It doesn't make a difference if you had your little brother do it or someone from NASA.

That being said as long as it runs decent don't spend another penny on it. Chances are you won't get it back. Cars are liabilities. I love them too but if you want to throw away a little more money send it my way.

I'd buy one pre-built as a toy, not to get me to work. Sucks you don't get your money back after building them, but you replaced extremely expensive factory parts with slightly expensive aftermarket parts... Hate seeing great cars dismantled due to either current owners wanting maximun coin or new owners not taking time to fine tune it. We should be saving, not destroying them. I'm curious how many are left after all the part outs we've seen turn from going back to stock to everything must go since parts are worth more off the car. But it's yours, do what you want with it.

I like to buy stock cars and do the modding myself, that is what is fun for me.

Although if I knew the owner I might consider a buying built car.

I wonder out of all these built cars that are parted out and returned to stock, how many are honest about how extensively the car was modded in their for sale ads? I would be seriously pissed if I found a car I thought was stock actually had a fp black and had 100's of dragstrip passes etc.

and thats what makes me laugh and some of you saying i would prefer a stock car. LOL most back to stock conversion are done half *** but you will find out the hard way. If im get screwed then i want the full car on top of that you have the right to sell all the mods off the car you dont want remember that.

buy a built car then take off all the parts you dont want and sell those for parts you like then. It will always be cheaper to buy it prebuilt then to go though the process yourself the problem here is some of you have never actually done a full build to see all the headache heartbreaks downtime and tons and tons of money spent to understand where some of us are coming from. You would then understand why buying it prebuilt and just fixing the issues if any or dismatling selling parts to put what you want on the car is always the better option.

I chose no,even though it would be cheaper buying it built. But I like to get working on the car and put in most of everything. It feels to me I learn more this way about the car itself And nothing like the satisfaction of building it exactly the way you want it. But I see nothing wrong with buying it built, just not for me.

I would buy a built one. If you're in the market for an EVO and you plan on building it, you will save alot of money if its already built. As long as the car checks out, work was done by someone with knowledge, has a good tune from someone reputable, I see no issues.

I guess if its your first time buying an EVO, building it yourself would be a little better for the knowledge aspect. But in my case, it would be my 3rd EVO and I would definitely look for one already with a built motor.

If I could do it all over again, I would buy a built evo that had reputable parts and was tuned by a reputable tuner. This is my first evo and when I bought it, it was "stock" with only 15000 miles on it. I do a TBE, intake, fuel pump, boost controller, get it retuned, drive it for two months, and boom...spun rod bearing. I was clueless when I first bought the EVO and clueless to the EVO world and community. It is something you can only learn from by doing it. My guess is it was built and raced, turned back to stock, and i was the sucker. 6 months later, I'm more in the hole and she's rebuilt with a set D2's, evo 9 JDM bumper, and cams and I'm loving life again. Money down the drain, but I plan on keeping the car forever. Love me an EVO

Well for me, I would like my Evo to be done my way, not a similar way. Because in the end, I'm the one who's driving it, owning it, and paying for it.
