I like to buy intelligently modded cars - saves a ton of money and you've let someone else go through all the headaches!

I voted no. But if it was a built motor by a reputable shop (BR, AMS, ER, MAP, ETC) and it was compression tested and leakdown tested and passed both tests, then yes id have no problem buying it granted the guy still had his receipts or could prove he was telling the truth about the internals.

95% of evos are modified in some way... buying a stock evo now is close to impossible..
i would not mind an evo that has few extra parts on it. if you dont like some of them, just take it off, sell it, and replace it with desirable modification.

I was considering selling my Evo X, but the value has dropped so bad that I don't know if it would be worth it to sell it. Even with parting my car out the stock value is so low that I am really back and forth on what I am going to do.

The Subaru dealer where I live is known for over paying on modded cars so I asked them for a trade in quote on my Evo. They offered me 21K with all the mods!

I'm definitely thinking about selling mine in the next couple of months, but I will come fully equipped to run mid 9s (except a cage), idle in stop-and-go traffic(with cold a/c blasting), and have radio and with all four speakers. It will have two tunes (one for E85, and the other for 93 octane pumpgas). It's going to be exactly how I would want a car if I was to buy it built.

big +1. i've got a fully built evo and have been accused of being a granny in disguise a few times. just because you have it doesn't mean you have to use it 24/7.

right but if they didn't close their doors yet they are making money so they are gonna get it on the price of the new car most likely. dealers aren't dumb they can f with numbers and make their money.

ever hear of commercials where dealers say push it, pull it, or tow it and we'll give you $5k trade in for it?

I could get $50k for my evo if i pay $70k for kia.

I personally think the whole idea of having fun with the car is building it. not much fun when you barely know what the previous owner had done to it.
