maker sure to do a police report within 24 hours. Here in texas i believe that is the amount of time before your legel rights run out. in other words if there is no police report she can get way with this. and just becasue there is areport does not mean it goes on your insurance( i think). Good luck and sorry to hear that happened so fast.

my advise for the neighbor situation... move!!

Change your synthetic oil to mineral for next 3000 miles, just remember to warm up and cool down car properly, it will help to break-in the engine.

Congrats! You got a good deal! Nice to see the dealer stood behind his quote instead of trying to weasel out of it.

NO NO NO!!! DO NOT use anything but fully synthetic oil (like Mobil 1) in your Evo or you WILL void your warranty!!!

Congrats on the EVO!

Sorry about the mishap, though... Whatever you do, just get it in writing in some way... it will help you in court if you have to go that far in the future.

If I were you, I'd let your neighbor pay for it out of her pocket. Go to a good body shop, get a good deal and have her pay for the repair.
I mean, shes your neighbor..........you dont want to make an enemy of your neighbor.

I agree. Don't do what everyone else would do and gouge your neighbor for all their worth. In order to keep good relations with her do it right, not the "American way" of screwing everybody.

You can use any 100% synthetic...I just gave Mobil 1 as an example cuz it's the factory fill.

Please don't misinform.

I am pretty sure Mitsu would flip their lids if you used 100% synthetic 20w-50.

It has to meet or exceed the specs found in the owners manual. They "illegally" push the Mobil 1 brand because they have a contract with them and they charge us like $8 a quart for the ****. They use scare tactics like "it will void your warranty if you use anything but this" just to keep us lemmings all walking in a straight line.

That sounds like a good shop then. Try that one on your neighbor and see what her reaction is.
