Just Bought Mine Yesterday ($27,000)
orginally posted by:leaguestr[Now I need to find the most expensive and best body shop.... that is like my worst fear coming true when buying a new car.... fuxkkkkk
sorry to hear about the mishap. I totally agree with you, find the most expensive qoute you can, show it to her and I'll guarantee that she'll change her mind and go through her insurance co. good luck man.
maker sure to do a police report within 24 hours. Here in texas i believe that is the amount of time before your legel rights run out. in other words if there is no police report she can get way with this. and just becasue there is areport does not mean it goes on your insurance( i think). Good luck and sorry to hear that happened so fast.
my advise for the neighbor situation... move!!

Change your synthetic oil to mineral for next 3000 miles, just remember to warm up and cool down car properly, it will help to break-in the engine.

She dented the passenger rear quarter some and took a 3" strip off the bumber!!! The car only has 130 miles !!!! Then she was insisting on not telling her insurance any paying for it herself... but I know it is going to be more than 1k to fix it. I insisted on a police report... and I am going to tell my insurance company on Monday... now I don't know what to do...

I mean, shes your neighbor..........you dont want to make an enemy of your neighbor.
If I were you, I'd let your neighbor pay for it out of her pocket. Go to a good body shop, get a good deal and have her pay for the repair.
I agree. Don't do what everyone else would do and gouge your neighbor for all their worth. In order to keep good relations with her do it right, not the "American way" of screwing everybody.

I am pretty sure Mitsu would flip their lids if you used 100% synthetic 20w-50.
It has to meet or exceed the specs found in the owners manual. They "illegally" push the Mobil 1 brand because they have a contract with them and they charge us like $8 a quart for the ****. They use scare tactics like "it will void your warranty if you use anything but this" just to keep us lemmings all walking in a straight line.
Thanks for the replies... I got my 1st quote today of $1,200 to fix it... I will keep you posted... This body shop was pretty cool (mitsu recommended) they even agreed to document the process with pics so I have can keep them with the car's history / maintenance records
