i recently have gotten into snowboarding and was looking into buying a roof rack to carry two around on and the only thing i can find is ones that mount to pre-existing factory roof racks which the evo doesnt have....does anyone know where to find some at for pretty cheap or anyone have one for sale that fits on our cars without a factory roof rack or scratching up the roof?? thanks in advance

yupp no problem, and id use a yakima set up the thules can be used on a gsr but not on an rs or mr so come time if you ever sell it the yakima should move a lot quicker, also its a ton eaisier to remove and install

I use Yakima! Great setup. Honestly I think the cheapest way to do it is go on craigslist and pick up q towers and crossbars. Some people sell them really cheap. Then just go to rei and get your vehicle specific clip and walahhh!

heres from the other thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...roof-rack.html

Quote: I bought mine from REI and the prices there were exactly the same as ordering it directly from the yakima site. plus, if you're an REI co-op memeber, you get about 10% of your purchases back in februrary from the past year, which is about $50. The membership is lifetime and only costs $15. My rack ended up costing me $479 + tax.

Here's the price breakdown...

Q clips package 102 & package 83...............(2) @ $29ea. ---$58
Q towers............................................ ..........(1) @ $135------$135
Pair of 48" crossbars....................................(1) @ $54-------$54
SKS 6 pack lock set.......................................(1) @ $57-------$57
32" Yakima Fairing........................................(1) @ $55-------$55
Big Powerhounder (holds 4 snowboards).....(1) @ $120-----$120

Total =$479.00+tax
