If the title is still valid in your name how is it "their car"?

Just curious

Find out where that felcher lives , snap some toothpicks off in his doorlock ,( in the keyhole) , and he can Spend that 480 and wait hours for the locksmith to show up .

Not saying revenge is the answer , but dammit I HATE getting cornholed by those douches .

to answer a question, they say it was "their" car when i signed a liability form. which is in my opinion ridiculous. im having a consult with a lawyer this week to present my case.

thanks to all for the motivating support, on the other site he tried to demean my character by saying "i would never do business with this customer", and he just wanted his car back , and stating i was there shaking hands with everyone even though he was NOT there. we will see what happens.

ill keep updating and hopefully get a happy outcome in my favor for the shady crap they tried to pulled.

A few things.

A) Yes, most dealerships are thieves. Never leave your car with them or give them the keys.
B) You may have tried the option "what if I pay for the new parts". It may have been around $480, but at least you would have sold your car?

Honestly, I see you spending more than $480 in legal fees. I think you've done all you can at this point without it getting ugly. I'd at least call the dealership back and tell them you've consulted with an attorney and demand you at least get the full report that the $480 bought you.

i see what your saying but i actually spoke to a lawyer today, its a small claims court issue under 1500. so it will only cost me $30.
he explained i never signed a bill of sale, only a liability form. and told me i do have a case, he also explained its a very simple process and will let the judge decide.

I'm a bit curious...why did you sell the car so cheap? I'm in San Diego looking for an IX and I'd have definitely been interested unless something was seriously wrong with the car.

nothing at all is wrong with the car.passed smog with a high flow cat and all, i lost my job and need to get rid of it, but i currently got an offer from a different buyer for 19k

i consulted with a different dealer and showed them the paperwork and told me what i thought. so it looks like i will contact the owner of the dealer tomorrow, and if he doesnt want to do anything about it. then i will see him in court. i will let you guys know how it plays out.
