Hood protector
Hood protector
hi guys
has anyone come across OEM
plastic hood protectors for the CT9A bonnets?
I saw CZ4A plastic hood protectors in http://www.mitsupartsworld.com/98-mi...protector.html.
I have also seen a hood bra being sold by Autobra.co.uk
in http://www.autobra.co.uk/shop/mitsub...et-p-1007.html
I guess one could use some plastic door strips as hood protectors and try to get some kind of plastic clips to hold them in place.
If I had the skills, I would make my own carbon fibre hood protectors. Alas, I dont
so, has anyone heard of OEM
plastic hood protectors for the CT9a bonnets?

Hello Honda guy,
thanks for the reply
yeah I looked into clear bra a long time ago but I have my doubts about the removal of the clear film. I have used that clear 3m film on other cars and it sticks pretty strongly. Don't want to risk the film peeling the print off when I remove it. I have also observed that the film does fade in time. Plus I put a few dots of touch up paint for some paint chips already so that does.not qualify my usage. It has been noted that the 3m clear bra is to be used on unpainted surfaces. My few dips of touch up paint disqualifies that...

IMO if it has chips, the paint is already ruined. My 3m bra has been on for 3 years now and no signs of fading yet. Shouldnt have to remove it for quite a few years anyways. I'm probably biased but Its much better then a car bra, those look so tacky.
mine has some chips (small ones but to me, I want the car to be kept in good condition).
Yours don't go fading? Really? Nice

not sure on your side but perhaps down here in Australia, the UV levels are higher. The local brand I bought for the clear bra skin had "3m" on it . Perhaps I had been taken for a ride since they are fading & "yellowing". Thank god I have it on my cellphone (as a screen cover) and not the evo. No doubt the clear bra is a good option.
thanks anyway for the reply

anyone seen any hood protectors from
or any OEM brand? There are so many running around for the CZ4A and hondas - why not the Evo?
