Stock Fuel Rail

Hey guys! I'm looking to get my evo 8 running e85 and I was doing research and found that 1050cc injectors are best for my purposes. My question comes with the fuel rail. Can the stock fuel rail handle that big of injectors? Look forward to some replies!!

Steve

Rail is fine, just make sure you have an upgraded fuel pump

Yes, tune for e85. LOL sorry couldnt resist.

Every car is different, your going to have to play with the tune. You may be able to grab a base map from a fellow evom'er but your going to have to mess with it to get it 100%.

Make sure you have a wideband if you are going to be tuning it your self.

While on the topic of fuel rails, what is the point where it NEEDS to be upgraded?

and if i get 1200cc injectors with the intention of an evo 9 or fp turbo would i need a second fuel pump? and would a tune keep the a/f ratio in check while i save for the turbo?

When u put the new injectors in you'll have to tune them to get them scaled properly.

i would wait and put it all in at once and get one prof tune. Probably good with a Walboro if you go 9 turbo. If you go up to a red on E85, you will need more fuel pump. Im out of fuel right now. I am waiting to try one of the new 340 in tank pumps. If that doesnt work, Il go BR double pumper.

NO, I run a single Walbro pump with my 1200cc.
But really, it all depends on your tuner..

You would get a tune now after you instal you current mods and then another tune after the new turbo is installed.
