Honestly, guys, you want paint that looks good? Do something about it. Learn about paint care, get the right tools, learn how to use them, and your paint can look like this, too. Do you expect the car to change its own oil? Of course not. Paint won't maintain itself, either.

My paint is in great shape overall. I should clarify, by ****ty paint I mean chips easily and extra thin. I know I never needed a clear bra on my Mustang, Corvette or 240SX but my STI and EVo started to get sand blasted on the front bumper before 30k miles.

I agree completely I just got my car a few months ago but it's got 65000 miles and not one dent I park back In bfe and even though it's the middle of winter I've waxed my car already even in a heated garage I borrowed lol... I won't even use an ice scraper on my windows I don't wanna scratch the windows or let it slip and hit the car lol

Our paint isn't really extra thin, though it is on the X. Chipping issues on CT9As are no different than on other Japanese cars from the same era and positioning in the market place. There are ways to minimize and to control this, but it won't happen by itself. FWIW, my GG has a total of 5 (!) paint chips and it's not like I slow down for ****.

Almost every time one of these threads comes about, I invite folks to our detailing forum. Like I said, there are ways to handle some of these issues, but it does require some input from the owner. Guess how many people have ever showed-up as a result? One.

I already took care of the issue before it got bad, regular waxing and the full clear bra treatment. Sorry for the OT but it's not like I neglect my paint, still rocking the stock wing that is coming up on 5 years old with no fading or peeling in the harsh Colorado sun. Thanks for the info and link, I will check it out for the rest of the car that is not protected with 3M.

Just have a couple of dents, but I think they can be buffed out.

Looks great throw it on CL for sale as "like new condition". I can hardly tell anything is wrong!
