Cat-back: HKS Hi-Power vs. Buschur w/ Bullet

I have a 2005 Evo VIII. I currently have the HKS Hi-power cat-back on the car (was on their when I bought it). I am thinking about changing it and was thinking about going with the BR w/ the Bullet muffler. My car has basic mods, nothing crazy. Kelford 272's, Supertech springs, BR Race FMIC, Megan downpipe, STM test pipe, Fuel Lab FPR, Tial Bov. I am not looking to go crazy with this car seeing as it is a DD. I just want some opinions from people that have these 2 cat-backs.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I'm going go out on a limb and say you will probably notice minimal difference at your power level. Personally I would rather have the Bushur exhaust, but I don't see it being a good idea to spend the money on a new exhaust when you have one the works perfectly well. And it's not a knock-off either.

Do you have a LICP for your FMIC? Do you have a MBC? I just think getting some of the other basic bolt-ons will work better than upgrading an exhaust unnecessarily.

I have all pipes, MBC, cams, etc. I would prefer the BR and might buy it anyway and sell the HKS. I am curious about sound wise. I had the BR cat-back on my X and I enjoyed it.

I have the hks hi power and I love it. Nice deep sound and its not unpleasant on the ears when driving, even with windows down. The last few buschur exhausts I have heard were really loud, and basically straight pipes.

Buschur exhaust flowed so much better and aggressive as hell. Straight thru all the way to muffler. Sounded like a race car, loved it! And, much lighter but it was loud!

My RS was definitely faster w/ BR!!!

The HKS is a very nice exhaust, but I can understand the appeal of the Buschur. I'm setting money aside now to pick one up at the shootout this year

We just took off a HKS hi power on a customer car and installed a BR with Bullet style muffler. It did get slightly louder but the design of the buschur is FAR better than the HKS. I would personaly sell the HKS and get the Buschur also. We are having a tax return sale right now so let me know if I can help sir.

The Bushcur Exhaust is LOUD the Hi Power isn't that loud. BTW you should consider getting a smaller intercooler if ur still on stock turbo the race intercooler is to big and must cause a lot of lag.....Good luck!

And?

Sorry just confused on the relevance of your sex and your modification path/choices. If you're looking for attention and people to start e-humping your leg then yes, you made the right choice by stating you are female.

FWIW I had a Buschur TBE with the Magnaflow muffler on my 9 and not only was it pretty quiet, it sounded great too. At the same time I'm waiting for someone to post dyno results to show how much change going from a HKS catback to Buschur will make.

Oh and by the way....I'm a Martian!!

He said sir and sir refers to a man. I was just stating that I am not of the male persuasion. I am married and not looking for "e-humping". Anyways, I was asking for opinions on exhaust nothing more. Yeah the HKS is already on the car and paid for, but I wanted to know what the Buschur one was like. I had the Buschur cat-back on my X when I had it and loved it. It's not really about the results as it is the sound. I can make the power other places. I am only trying for around 400hp because this is a DD street car and we have another car that is for high HP and track times.

So again, I thank you for y'alls advice. And no there will be no pics of myself posted on this thread. Some of you know who I am even if you cant figure it out. Lol
