Mod Dilemma cam or Turbo HELP!!

like the title says i have everything ready to switch over to e85 on stock turbo, my last thing i was going to buy for my winter mods was the gsc s2's with kiggly springs, but now my dilemma is should i hold off on cams and send my turbo into fb for either black or red turbo, but then with the black or red turbo on e85 will my stock bottom end be on the line? need ur guys opinion, cam or turbo upgrade

I've seen a lot of debate on this, but it seems Reds are fine on stock bottom end. Torque can be a killer though, so you would want to make sure you tune appropriately (keep it safe).

If it was an Evo 8 i would say get the cams 100% but since you have a 9 i would wait and get the turbo. The 9 does a lot better on stock cams then the 8's do you'll make mid 4xx's on the stock cams on e85.
both of the those turbo's are able to make enough power and torque and kill a stock bottom end but if you have your tuner keep the *timing low at peak torque you should be able to keep it alive a long time (as long as you take care of it, proper maintenance and warm up/cool down)

i was talking to BlkCarbonEVO AKA Mikey, he ran 600whp on stock block and said just to make sure i stay under 420tq and i will be fine, i believe i will be sending my stock turbo off to fp for an upgrade to the black, i will still run e85, i will just need to get some bigger injectors (I just bought fic 1250s thinking i was sticking with stock turbo) and probably two 255s

coming from someone who was debating the same thing, go with the cams. I am running kelfords with cower springs and retainers on E85 and with my other mods (just all the other bolt ons and whatnot) the power is solid and the torque is AMAZING. I say go with the cams and the springs

Bbk ftw! I've only heard bad things about the red from everyone I know who tracks there car.

Just letting you know, im no expert on this but I would go with the bbk.
Before cams or turbo I would build the block, that's just me though...

Just because one guy does it doesnt mean its "safe". Your playing with fire so be prepared to pay the price. Ive seen countless threads about people blowing stock motors on fp reds and blacks. Might as well save money and do a built motor BEFORE you blow it. Your wallet will thank you
