weird rev pattern

hi everyone, i need your help, so i was just driving earlier and i noticed when i gassed up a little bit more, my revs jumps a few hundred RPM's then drops back to where it was, then it accelerates normal. what do you guys thinks wrong with it? recently, it just started the other day after i tried brake boosting a little bit. a little history of the car is that i bought it at 53ish-k miles and iono if the previous owners launched it/ how many times he's launched it. i've personally probably done it about 5-6 times at most while letting off the clutch out halfway, then all the way, which is what everyone else says should do. please help!
