I'm confused...Evo9 SE Front Lip

I have a Wicked White Evo9 and I'm in the market to replace my GSR lip w/the SE front lip. I found the item at 2 popular vendors, DriveLine Motoring & Mitsubishiparts.net. DriveLine Motoring said: "We do carry the OEM Front Lip! This item is only available from Mitsubishi Motors of America in Wicked White, and is sold at $395.00 Shipped."

however....

Mitsubishiparts.net website says: "These only come in Weightless White. If you have a Wicked White car there is a good chance you will not be able to tell the difference. Your white is not the exact same as wicked white anymore because of weather, sun, etc." Anyone with experience dealing with either merchant please chime in. What color did your lip arrive in and/or what color does Mitsubishi sell the OEM, SE lip in?

Thank you

I would go with mitsubishiparts.net's word on it cause I think they are a mitsu dealership vendor, and you can always verify the part number and everything to get the correct info. The difference is kinda obvious on the 2 white colors.

oh, and you will need two extra OEM under tray pieces and a few clips.

I tried to run mine without the extra pieces but it was janky and I eventually went back to the GSR lip..... right when the pieces came in the mail. So if you are serious about running the SE lip and want the additional trey pieces hit me up. One was taken out of the bag and fit, the other is BNIB.

Eric at driveline is the coolest vendor i've ever done business with. he actually talked me out of buying a part once due to fitment issues... what other vendor cares more about customer satisfaction then a quarterly statement?

if he says its wicked white i have complete faith that it is.

I agree...got my jdm rear bumper from Eric.
Just weird to very popular evo vendors say something different about the factory color. I gotta be 100% sure!

They only come in weghtless white (W83). Wicked white is W37. If you them together you will see the difference. W83 has a lot of yellow in it.

But yea, they only come in W83... Unless, Driveline prepainted them or had some from back in the day.

Good info.
Will check with DriveLine and see what's up.
They are a little more expensive but would be worth it if color matches.

You could just buy a CF one and not paint it at all.. I currently have a WW SE one and it's completely destroyed. Before the Cali rodes destroyed it, I would get more and more rock chips by the day and obviously they were noticeable due to the color. I didn't have that issue with the CF SE lip I had. Atleast not visually..

These have all been pre-painted Wicked White from the factory. From what we've seen, the color coding between all issues of Wick White have not been changed. Weightless White is ONLY found on the Evo 7's and 8's.
