Does every car (not just EVO) trip meter only go up to 1k miles?

 

most cars yes

 

If I remember correctly the celica can run past 1k.

 

Electronic ones can vary.. the mechanical ones on alot of cars will either go up to 999 if their 3 digit, or 9999 if their four digit.. just a mechanical limitation..

How's that for pointless knowledge?? Actually I only noticed it on my neon because the trip odometer stopped working.

 

Sounds right for most cars.
