i dont think that hood would fit the newer evo's styling. that car has a very flat front, the 8 and 9's come to more of a point

That's a direct swap for the regular Evo VII hood and you can interchange a VI hood with a VII/IX hood.. So it fits..

cover the air intake filter with a cardboard box and cut a hole in it so it can suck air in. Boom job done

i dont have mine on anymore, i was thinking of making a plate to cover the right half of it near the filter, and leaving the left side open to still vent? sounds like a decent idea?

fyi to anyone who cares the hole is to EXTRACT hot air, its not a air scoop for pushing in cool air.

way back when i used to park outside, i cut out a rubber floor mat into the shape of the vent. then i zip tied it onto it to limit the rain that falls in. it works great minus the worst of storms. i dont think it hurt anything anyhow but i am **** about keeping engine bay pristine.
