Check engine light after turbo back exhaust install.
Check engine light after turbo back exhaust install.
Im just wondering if this is normal. I installed a turbo back exhaust last weekend, 3 inch down pipe, milspec high flow cat, 3 inch cat back.
I expected the check engine light to come on right away after the install because of the 02 sensor, but it didn't come on. after driving the car probably over 50 miles the check engine light came on, is this from the 02 sensor?

My TBE came with the extender for the O2.
You will have to do the same so the O2 reads correctly. The CEL does not always come on right away. My understanding is hat it has to see the code so many times before the CEL is thrown.
It might take several miles before you ever get a CEL possibly 15-50 or so.
