Angry My first evo story :)

Hello to all my name is jacob and this is the epic story of me buying my evo. I had been searching for many months and then found a 04 evo 8 ssl w/ 71k, has a tune from crbd at 23lbs of boost, normal base mods (ehxhaust, intake, bov, clutch, 255 injectors, suspension etc.) Anyways I went to look at the car with a friend it was about 56 miles away. I arrived to test drive the car, I did so and requested to drive it over 55 miles on the highway, I did, everything went swimmingly. The story gets wierd when I went to buy the car, I started to write a check and the guy was like "whoa I thaught you were paying cash" which is absurd to have over 10k cash just ridiculas. I continued with assuring him a bank certified check is just as good. I buy the car, leave and follow my friend bck to my house. We were about 30 miles out when he pulled to the shoulder of the road. My trucks alternator was fried, what ever but not to happy. We were about 10 minutes away from my house whenthe cel turned on. I was very sad lol... I ran a obd2 and it was a p0300. Had it checked out and I just need my ecu reflashed I suppose? Thnks for raeding

The truck died on the way back, and the cel on the evo came on about 10 minutes later. A terrible day.

yeah that sounds pretty bad... sorry to hear bro... look at the brightside... you didnt put 10k down on a 06 MR and then have the delivery date changed 6 times and pushed back over 2 months. and on top of that suck up to much water in a freak rain storm and blow your motor at 800 miles because your oil turned to paste and tossed your 3rd piston threw not just one but 3 sides of the block...
granted mine was a bad 3 months... not just a day... but as far as just bought my evo horror stories go...

P0300 is random misfire. Check it out.Plugs, wires, etc.

What everyone else is talking about is cat efficiency code which is what the fouler takes care of.

i paid 10k for my 03 evo in cash and then found all the damage to the trunk pan and rear end when i put it on the lift. Wrecked and hammered out and someone slapped some new paint on it and sold it.. has no meth bottle or washer bottle in the trunk either

can't you read? have some common sense, it's 55mph not 55mile in distance!!!

And please correct your post, it's CBRD not CRBD and your injectors shouldn't be 255 cc, it's 255 fuel pump.

That hurt my head...and i wouldnt let someone buy my car with a check either unless i was at the bank the check was issued from. And the CEL is easy fix.
