Bored? Like they said, get a daily driver and only drive the Evo on weekends. It will really make you appreciate a nice turbo, AWD beast that is the Evo.

When I go from my daily to the Evo, instant fun. I can't keep the car out of boost....

Well I haven't had any problems with my f-cars.. don't know where you are getting your info from. For a car that dyno's about 310 at the wheels stock, and costs way less than our EVOs... it's a great hp bang for buck.... Mind you it doesn't handle as well.

Ducs run fine, the valve adjustments are expensive but they usually run fine.

I can honestly say i dont think i will ever get bored with this car. When i get kinda curious about other cars, i ride in them and what not a realize there may be something i like more, usually the interior but thats about it. Then i get back in my Evo and it just makes me all warm a fuzzy inside , i just love the car to death and will keep slowly modding it which just makes me love it more!

I think the EVO is a little too perfect... it gives you the kind of feeling that "you can drive me on the street, but where I really belong is on the track".
Hmm do you mean that feeling you get in other cars were the car says to you "Hold on buddy were not going to make this corner"?

I am still loving every time I get in my car to drive. I love walking out and seeing my Evo there and knowing its mine. I love watching people crane their necks to look at the Evo that just drove by. I love when people come up to me just to ask questions about my car and say WOW! Most of all I love driving it like it was intended to be driven. Nothing else can come close to the feeling of taking this car to its limits of handling. God what a rush.

I have had a 916 for six years after having the latest greatest Jap superbike year after year. The Duc is just as reliable, it always starts and NEVER fails to remind me why I love her so EVERY time I ride it. That bike has a soul. There are now faster bikes but nothing feels as good. In many ways thats what I love about my EVO as well

bored?!?

i have to say, i'm a little bewildered anyone could get bored with the evo...

i've been searching for a new car for a while... looked seriously at the m3, checked out the s4, and the only car that i felt... yeah, this is what the word performance means in a car, was in the evolution.

the way the road is relayed through the wheel... like having your fingers on brail... the way it accelerates and brakes. its balance and turning abilities... almost telepathic. and thats with nothing.... no mods, out of the box.. even our fellow car nuts across the puddle... who have access to everything on wheels agree... crowning the evo this year CAR mag's 2nd best handling auto... yeah it was the FQ300, but it's not just the hp, it's everything together... plus you can drive circles around an suv in the snow... with snow tires of course .

that's what gives a car personality... not cost, not tradition... just everyhting coming together and working as it should... no compromises handling... the way most performance japanese cars wind up doing... from the venerable supra to the skyline and nsx, and of course the evo.

but for some reason, everyone thinks a car is better if you almost kill yourself driving it to the limit... porsche 911 anyone, spend a small fortune with nods from the country club or if the racing team is legendary, even though the marque gets shut-down by the first blue oval sports car in in half a century... oh yeah, tell me why again the most expensive, exclusive car made by the prancing horse broke down with relative ease on a tame ride through nyc... at least you can brag to the tow company that it costs more than the tow buisness' assets and that ferrari won f1's most recent race.

yeah the interior may not be posh in the evo, but cars are made for driving, not impressing...

and all i have to say, is that bmw needs to be sued over the ultimate driving machine logo... perhaps by MITSU?... maybe compared to over-forced inducted benzes with lousy handling... but not impressed.

anyone who needs something more... well there is aftermarket, or spending 10.5 times as much for a porsche carrera gt... but who would ever drive it in the snow?
let alone on the track... g-d forbid anything breaks or it wrecks .

but, then again, not even viagra can help some with working twig and berries after two days, given the opportunity to sleep with the two girls of choice for the rest of days... .

pass the ky, the keys to my evo between sessions, and an ocassional bite, and i'll call it a life .

cheers,
pjork-master

I thought I was getting used to my evo's power, that or I had a boost leak, nope, it turns out that after over 19,000 miles my clutch had inevitably began to slip, and it was progressively getting worse, has been going on little by little for the past 3 weeks, just can't imagine what it will feel like with the ACT kit. I don't think you really can get bored with the evo, and if you do it just might bite you on the ***.

hell ive had a plain old Lancer ES bone stock for 3 months and i still love stepping out the door and staring at it as i walk towards it pressing the unlock button, the side markers flashing twice, pulling the handle, sitting my happy *** down on the cheap-o seat(lol) than starting it up and revvin off(auto though so lol).

and all i got is some floor mats, a steering wheel cover and a tip can't wait til i get intake/exhaust/strutbar/sway bar lol

my friend has a 97 camaro(v6) with a fiberglass hood, strobes, 7led neons, dual exhaust, lowered, wheels, etc and him and a friend and me and my girlfriend were walkin outta steak and shake and hes like "isn't it crazy, i get to drive that thing home!" and he had the neon/strobes goin while we were eating inside. and hes had the car for 4-5 months at least and its still the base v6 with not much performance stuff lol. thats what 'loving' ur car is all about, if u ask me..im done now lol
