Samco silicone intake pipe

I just installed the samco intake pipe last week, it already has collapsed. I don't get it I read that the silicone pipes don't collapse. It looks like crap honestly.

I ran mine for quite a while at 25-30psi with no issues. Only thing I can think of is your airfilter is restricted.

I'm running one of those vibrant open funnel air filters, it's sitting kind of tilted cause of the acd reservoir.

You guys maybe right cause at first I threw on the old k&n I had and the pipe was fine the next day. As soon as I put on the vibrant is when I noticed it collapsed, the k&n was beat.

Will it effect anything?

Thanks

No problems with my Samco intake.

If the filter hits the ACD reservoir, just trim the Samco intake a bit, so it'll fit. Better yet, you can make a bracket to tilt the intake up, so the filter is angled up.

Yours is not collapsed, it's bent. Trim a bit off so it can sit straight.

I've ran mine for ~5K miles, and the guy before me ran it for ~20K miles, with no collapsing issues. Either its bending, or its a quality flaw. Post some pics?

Yup you guys were right. The filter was restricting flow, as soon as I pulled it off no issue. Also noticed my iat was 90 degrees even though it was 40 out so yeah lol. I cleaned the old k&n and put it back on for now. Much better.

Thanks guys.
