help me with a selection s1 vs s2...please
I have a 2006 evo se. I have full Cobb turboback, arc intake, stock 9 bov, ams mbc set to around 21 pounds, Muse licp. I'm still confused on which cams to get. Gsc s1 vs Gsc s2. I've read most of the threads on them. How s1 works better on stock turbo and no loss in the low end and s2 sacrifices low end for top end. I'm still on stock turbo and maybe planning to go bigger later on but still undecided. But I've seen people with bigger turbos also run s1 and stand by it. And i was told I can run stock springs on the s2 as long as its only revving within stock range. I'm only doing cams once and wont change them again. Will I be okay running the s2 on the stock 9 turbo for now until I(if) go bigger Turbo. Or should I go s1 now and then just keep running it even if I go with a bigger turbo? Will I be okay if I kept stock turbo and just run the s2? Help me lol.

I would run S2's for sure. Check this out: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tle-turbo.html
Lots of info in that thread. I was going to use S2's but decided to go with a BIG turbo so S3's were my answer.

I am running the S1's in my IX with a stock turbo and love them. It pulls hard down low and doesn't stop, I go to 8k and it pulls all the way. I don't have any experience with the S2's so I can't speak for them. I don't regrett my choice.

Am still on GSC S1's on my FP Red and the cams are still sufficient. They will work superb pushing the stock turbo to its limits. Infact even stock cams can be used to push the stocker.

S2 has no loss in low end on the Evo IX. Its the beauty of MIVEC when done properly hides anything that might be negative.
Here are some dyno graphs to show what I mean-
