Rear o2 sensor question, please help!

Okay so I bought an evo 9 mr shell with blown engine no exhaust, basically a rolling shell and put it all back together and have been driving it for a little while now and runs great! I need to pass inspection but have a check engine light on, the code reads that its the rear o2 sensor. So I went and bought a rear o2 sensor that has a plug in that is rounded like the one in this picture

I though this would be easy to just take the rear 02 sensor plug and clip it into the clip hanging down but the plug in is different though as its more flat and doesn't fit, what Im thinking is that the previous owner had some sort of wideband sensor installed. My question is what do I need to do, Im lost and I know this would be an easy question for you guys on here, also is the sensor precat or after the cat.
Thanks for the help in advance

just use ecuflash and disable the code..plenty of information in the ecuflash section on how to manipulate your code readings

Even if you got it screwed in and working the code would still be there since you have a test pipe. Easiest and cheapest fix is like mentioned above. Disable it through ecuflash.
