But what if the evo has a turbonator before the turbo? Or even fcking magnets around the fuel line? You can't even fathom how fast this car is gonna be!

this would prolly be a close one...stock for stock the evo 8 is faster by a couple tenths in a 1/4 mile...with ur mods plus tune and his mods plus no tune i would have to say the evo 8 would prolly come out on top as long as u know how to drive it...only way to find out is to go to the track and run em

Has anyone here driven a VR-4 before? They are heavy as anything and on stock turbos definitely aren't that quick. The EVO should win hands down here.

I've owned a 96 vr-4, and have an 05 evo with 23 lbs of boost, the gt was running 14. I really think the 3000gt may take the cake. They make a lot of torque at low rpms, the turbos nearly instantly spool up, and their gears are looong compared to the evo's. The 3000gt's weight is normal for a touring car, and is usually over dramatized. But our cars are so quick off the line... idk man. haha. Lemme know the results.

Brian Earl Spilner. Sounds like a serial killer name.

Back OT: Run 'em. I've always understood the VR4 was heavy, let us know how it goes.

Having owned both? It's all about power to weight ratio in a straight line, & driver. The GT is heavy, the EVO not. Granted at 120+ mph I would take the GT for stability. If you're running on just a straight track it might be close depending on the mods. If there are any corners? EVO. So take it to your local track and find out.
