ive got an evo 8 mr, mods are: intake, tbe, ebc, licp, manifold, tune. launch set at 5k.

and one of my friends has a 3000gt vr4, with cam gears, intercooler+piping and mbc@14psi. no tune..

I wouldn't think so. The DX model would only put out about 102 HP.

 

I dont know. Think about all the weight savings with no power steering, power windows, etc....i think itd be close.....

addydavenport, you don't know much about evo do ya? evo is mitsubishi lengendary lineup, VR4 considering its power to weight ratio the answer is pretty obvious. btw, mod like cam gear should not be consider as performance mod.

 

wrong. cam gears can add or kill hp if done correctly or incorrectly. theyre not just for bragging rights.

since no ones inclined to answer the question i would guess evo would win the launch but vr-4 should take the top speed and 1/4 mile, as well the evo should win around a road course, favor to ask of you, can u measure the distance between the sides of the front bumper right at the back point in front of the tire for me. Im trying to see if i could get an evo 8 lip to fit my ralliarts aftermarket evo8 front bumper. Thanks
