The way I look at, they are more pissed off if you just ignore them! Just keep minding your business. There are too many a**holes out there that don't give a crap about anything. I have a wife and 2 kids I want to come home to everyday. This is probably the old guy answer but o well!

Sounds like you pressed his button with that maneuver. Just be aware of how you are perceived by others.. He obviously didn't think that was necessary and was going to prove it to you.. Just chill, drive normal like in the 2 digits and maybe things like this will tone down. BTW he was an idiot- dont you be one too.

Besides... let's theoretically play out a situation and see where it gets you.

You are licensed and legally carrying. Some random idiot does his thing and you played it out under his terms and end up shooting the idiot in self defense.

The police clear you of wrong doing and you go home to your wife and kids.

Now it sets in that you took someone's life over something insignificant like a self-perceived traffic wrong, resulting in road rage. Was it worth it? Really? Over a stupid lane change?

 

something similar happened to me once..... some guy ( later I realized he was drunk ) was trying to race me in this beat to dead piece of crap car, so at first I thought he was joking, but he kept getting to close to my tail and when I tried to lose him, he would eventually catch up and started to put my life and the like of others in danger, so I pulled over in a mall parking lot, he followed me and I got out of the car, completely mad and yield at him to get out so I could smack him, he was paralyzed, and moments later left without saying a word.
Moral of the story is, I felt bad the rest of the day, I should have kept my cool and let the guy just go on his way.... next time you find one of those weirdos, just ignore them.

I know in my state if someone does this they will be going to jail for a long time cuz it can be considered a class e felony. Its aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon. I know this becuz an ex of mine. We had a restraining order between families and her sister wanted to follow me and ride my *** so I made her eat the dash. I slammed my brakes but didn let em back up off the floor in my eclipse she hit me doing 60 and totalled her car. It only pushed my rear beam up and busted my back clip. Only reason I didn't go to jail was cuz I had a donut on the car told them she was chasing me and I lost control and had to slam the brakes and not to mention she was not suppose to be around me hahaha. If anyone brake checks u call the police and have their license plate ready they will be sorry

 

well, if im in my evo and the same scenario happen to me, i would slow down and probably blow it off, but on the other hand if i was in my 96 chevy tahoe that is paid off of course and second vehicle i probably would mash the gas rather than hit the brakes and it would definitely be his fault for stopping or abruptly slowing down in the middle of a damn highway with no traffic in front, and especially if he did it on purpose and probably wouldnt think twice about it as i drove over his *** and off into the sunset,

People hate Evo's because they're loud and ugly. I've had people get mad at me for no reason. Of course I mutter things to myself about how I hope they're car rolls over into a pond full of alligators, but I never escalate a situation. I just drive off and get on with my life.
