My baby's totaled!
The whole other side of the car is perfect, but the frame is bent so its a total loss. After looking over the paper work I noticed the only compaired it to lancers, not evos, and thats how they got their price. So tomorrow if claims is open or tuesday Ill get to plead my point
I think you're getting majorly low balled on it. You don't have to accept their offer. You can always file a claim/lawsuit because you are losing too much on it.. As it is.. You have full coverage and will be 4K under simply because of this accident.
Don't be an idiot.. learn the law and get what's rightfully yours.. Reject their offer and inform them you will be filing a lawsuit because of how much you will be under if you accepted their offer. They might send it back to their department and counter with a better offer to avoid the lawsuit. Don't bluff talk to a lawyer for free and simply file a small fee to start a small claims lawsuit against your insurance company. Is it a hassle.. ofcourse it can be but my mom did it and she got about 10K more 2 years later.. Totally worth it.
Good luck.

im sorry for your loss, now with the insurance it seems like your gonna have to fight with them. it never is easy trying to get money out of them, their quick to take it from us, but when it comes time to reembursement they are complete asses. good luck with everything
Also review the policy language on your collision coverage. Most policies will offer a comparable vehicle as the basis of cash value on the car. Check the zip codes of the vehicles they use in the valuation. Most of the time insurers are obligated to provide like kind and quality of vehicles in your area ( generally regulated by insurance code ). If they offer out of state vehicles in their valuation, perhaps you can establish that they have made a "bad faith" offer to settle. This is against the law in CA, and I have seen plenty of insurers here provide total loss valuations with vehicles outside the state which is a no no here. I am not sure about the code/laws in your state.
