Not saying it would not be some $$$ to repair, but that seems far from totaled. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they are offering you 14k for it, is the rule of thumb for ins companies that if it cost more than half the total value to fix it, they declare it totaled? If so I would bet 7k could easily bring that back to life.

actually from seeing some friends get rear ended once the floor pan of the trunk is majorly messed up most insurances don't want to deal with fixing it.

Still you are getting raped if you take 14k

also keep in mind that when they cut you a check they have to give you sales tax back on the agreed amount.

I would definitely say its fixable, if you owe nothing, I would take the $14k, buy I back for almost nothing and fix it, most likely put $ in your pocket, and have your evo back!

Their asking price seems to be high. You should negotiate I'm willing to be you can buy a nine with lower millage for the asking price.

Sorry 4 ur loss, but sh*t happens...

It seems fixeable though, and may be alot better option as long as there is no structural damage.........as opposed to buying another EVO with grey-ish mod history....

Where is GAP when you need it huh, besides that please to consult a lawyer that is proficient in insurance cases and fight it,do not give in you are already loosing 4k out your pocket and insurance will always low ball you so that not anything new.Just write them a letter explaining that you will be taking legal action and why.Done!!
