I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but I did some searching and got 3 different answers.

I am also wondering this. I understand FP has one. But it is a little pricey for what you get.

Honestly unless you are needing the FP specific oil line from the filter housing then all you really need for 0 fab is a IX J Pipe.

Hell you really dont even need that in a pinch. Heat the VIII J-Pipe and bend it away from starter

DONE

^ That is the most complete kit out there. It is a good deal and genuine Mitsu parts.

I bought my full hardware set for my turbo/manifold/O2 from them also.

Make sure not to buy an ebay install kit. I made that mistake and I learned the hard way. The gaskets that come in those kits are garbage and so are the banjo bolts.

The only 2 things you really NEED are the oil return line and j-pipe, oil feed and coolant lines have plenty of wiggle room to work fine

I wont be buying the ebay kit, im afraid the parts will be cheap and affect me in the long run.

One more question..

What about the oil return lines? there not in the fp performance install kit.

Ive seen a picture where the evo 9 oil return line is a bit longer that the evo 8 return line.

If you need the oil feed line (the one that goes from the turbo to cylinder head) you can get it from MitsubishiParts.net for cheap.

Thanks!

Is it needed though? I find it kind of strange that the oil return line isnt in the FP kit
