Having owned many DSM's, I would say unless you're going racing, there's no point to this trade. He is by FAR getting a better deal, no matter how much power it has it's still a early 2gb and FWD, which means it won't sell for more than 7-9K MAX unless he parts it out. Your evo, even with the mileage, would be ~20K so unless he adds a considerable amount of money, you'll be getting shafted. Only DSM trade I *might* consider would be a 99 anniversary addition GSX, LOW, LOW miles, one owner, with pretty much built everything. Anything other than that would be a ripoff IMO. Good luck eitherway.

that sounds much better than straight up, maybe even a couple grand more, but depends on how much your car is worth right now

650hp in FWD is useless, you wouldn't get any traction at all.

I wouldent do it. The Evo is wayyyy more reliable than a built older DSM would be. I would tell him atleast $7k ontop

I traded my GSX and A LOT of $$$ on top for my EVO 9. It would think with the HP he is running the car has been modded to the extreme. Not sure if you want that kind of car as a DD or just a weekend toy, but an Eclipse like that usually doesn't fetch much in resale value.
