Help with an EVO decision?
I've been searching around for a Clean EB OR WW Evo 9 and I have found several but I dont think they are evo 9 ?
by the way decided to come back to a evo haha
The dealer has a EB evo that says its a 2006 evo 9 but the interior is all evo 8 parts but the motor is mivec
I am a little confused on what is going on ? does anyone know whats up?
I am out of state and I dont want to fly out there and find out it is an evo 8 and not a 9 anything i can do beside get the title proof?
thanks

there are clearly two possibilities
1 (which is moreunlikely) is the dealer is lying and the car is a 8 with a 9 mivec motor
2 (most likely) the vin matches a 9 and the previous own swapped the 9 interior and installed 8 interior
pretty cut and dry
and if the interior was swapped you can rest assured the car was not stock

Alot of people prefer the black/black seats of the 9...so they fetch quiet a good amount from Evo 8 owners that have the ugly black/blue seats.
I'm sure the original owner had a Evo 8 friend that paid him for the 9 seats.
I myself got rid of my 9 leathers seats (SSL package) and traded them with a friend who had the regular 9 alcantara seats (black/black). I like them better...the leather was starting to crack & wrinkle...plus it was AZ, too damn hot for leather seats.
Check the VIN...that will ultimately tell you if the dealer is selling you a 8 or 9.
Interior pieces are easy to replace. Maybe not cheap, but easy.
