Suspension is stuck

I was driving and hit a pothole pretty hard but didn't think anything of it until I felt my car pulling to the left. I got out the car and noticed that my front suspension was lifted, mind you, I have lowering springs.

Could it be that the strut(s) are shot, causing one or both to lift? Has anyone had this issue before?

I replace the front struts about a year ago...

Thanks

A blown strut would not cause your car to lift. I think you have some more serious problem. Kinda hard to diagnose over the internet though, especially with no pics.

If you bend the strut then the suspension will be stuck in the position that it is in when it got bent... good luck

FYI a bent strut (think piston rod here) and a blown strut (think valves and seals) are two different things

Its on of two things: a bent strut rod, as stated above or a bent control arm the has everything wedged up. I can't see anything sway bar related that would really cause binding like that.

Guys struts do not hold the weight of the car. Springs do, even if one is bent it will crack the housing and not hold the car up. All a strut does is dampen spring Jounce and Rebound forces.

I will agree with the few that mentioned bent control arm, this will change ride height. It should be obvious to the tech that looks at it if you take it in.

I took the wheel off and everything looks normal, nothing is bent, spring looks good & in place.

Still puzzled.. I'm going to take it in this weekend.

Thanks for the pointers!
