Headlight help

my drivers side low beam bulb got burned out. when i turn the lights on it will turn on and stay on for a good 3 minutes or so. the drivers side however was more of a white/regular looking color, and the passenger side still was the blue ish light.

just swapped out the drivers side today with a sylvania 9005 bulb. it now lights up and stays on, but it isnt the blue ish color like it should be. still more the white looking light...

any ideas or something i need to do/change to fix this?!

i had issues with my ballast. if that is going bad it could be causing the discoloration. When I had mine replaced the light that was replaced was blue, and the other was white. Im not sure how you would test this, but good luck with it.

I am assuming its a standard halogen since you mentioned 9005 and not D2S/R.

No ballast for you if its a standard bulb, check the ground or the connector if the beam is not full.

so the bulb should be a d2s/r? ill check the ground but i really doubt thats the problem.

the passenger side bulb is the exact same bulb and all... 9005 sylvania. and of course that side is the proper color lighting. i really dont get it.

I was hoping you would tell me.....

Is it an HID bulb or not? Did you have to pull off the bumper to get it out?

So the problem that you are having is that your 9005 halogen bulb does not match the other side? No difference in light out put, just color?

Put two new bulbs in and call it a day.
