need some help with broken motor mount

i bought this car for 8500 and brought it to the body shop to have the frame replaced. the shop pulled the motor and then saw that the top passenger side motor mount broke. and could have possibly messed up the tension on the belt. (the car did start move and idle fine) but now im concerned that something else could be seriously wrong with the motor and Ive already dumped a whole lot into this car i posted some pictures below but idk if they show everything i mean. any advice you guys have is greatly appreciated

this is how the motor was sitting in the car.

Looks like all that broke was the part the mount bolts too. Just buy used one and bolt it on and you should be fine.

This happened to a friend of mine, another evoM member.

He took a hit,saw the mount was broken and when they took off the mount, parts of the actual block came off with it. He eventually bought a block I had. Just make sure you don't have any furthur damage.

Good Luck

THANKS FOR THE LINK MAYBE I CAN HELP OUT.

OK WELL A SIMILAR SITUATION HAPPENED TO ME. AFTER THE BODYSHOP FIXED THE BODY THE CAR CRANKED BUT DID NOT FIRE UP. IT THREW A CODE FOR A CRANK SENSOR. SO I BOUGHT A CRANK SENSOR. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE IT, WE NOTICED THAT THE TIMING BELT SHEDDED UP A BIT. THEN WE NOTICED THAT THE TIMING WAS OFF A FEW TEETH. THE MECHANIC SAID WE CAN TRY TO DO A TIMING BELT JOB AND HOPE THAT THERE WAS NOT VALVE/PISTON TAP. (FYI... THE CAR CRANKED LIKE A CHAMP... AND COMPRESSION WAS AWESOME)

WE TOWED THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE BODYSHOP, AND TOOK IT TO A SHOP FOR THE TIMING BELT JOB. (1320 PERFORMANCE IN GARWOOD NJ). THE GUYS WERE AWESOME AND NOCIED THAT THE P/S PUMP WAS COCKED A LITTLE TO THE SIDE. SINCE THAT BRACKET AND THE TENSIONER WAS RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER THEY SAID THAT THE IMPACT MUST OF BENT BOTH BRACKETS AND THATS WHY THE TIMING BELT SKIPPED TEETH (7TEETH TO BE EXACT) THOSE 2 BRACKETS WERE BOTH RELATED TO THE ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET (ON THE BLOCK) THEY SAID ALL THREE BRACKETS NEED TO BE REPLACED. I SAID OK.. ILL ORDER FREAKING $350 IN STUPID BRACKETS AND GET THE CAR READY.

I GET A CALL FROM THE SHOP 20 MINUTES LATER SAYING THEY HAD BAD NEWS. THEY TRIED GETTING THE ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET OFF..A AND PIECES OF THE BLOCK CAME OFF WITH IT. THEY SAID THAT MY 22000 MILE EVO NEEDS A BLOCK, AND BECASUE OF THE OFF TIMING, MAY NEED A HEAD. (I WISH THEY WOULD OF TOLD ME THIS BEFORE I SPENT $13000 ON BODYWORK AND FIXING THE CAR)

HERE IS A PIC.

HERE IS THE BLOCK

im sorry for the triple post... but you look like you have much more work to do than just that motor mount issue. id completely get a new rad support. fix that frame rail... oil cooler should be changed. oil cooler line etc. please know that these things are an arm and leg to fix.
