The rear bumper is visually the same as other IX's but slightly different fitment due to having a hatch instead of bootlid.

Pretty soon it's going to be difficult to import them here too(and anything over 5 years old), unless you use a special interest registration.

For the special reg, the car has to be some form of interest (high performance, a collectors edition etc).
You can only have one special reg per person and you must have a second car as a daily driver
You have to own it for at least 4 years and you can't use it for revenue gathering
There's a maximum amount of mileage you're allowed to add to the car each year(can't remember how much it is).

Basically enough criteria to make average Joe not bother with it, but still possible. I'm glad I got mine already.

15 years in Canada, I am thinking that a 1996 Legnum VR4 might be the closest I can get to an EVO IX Wagon.

I had a VR4 Legnum immediately prior to getting the Wagon. A good, powerful car that handled surprisingly well . . . however, not a patch on the Evo.

The longest journey I've been on was taking the Wagon over to Germany's Nurburgring, almost a 1500 mile round trip. A four day trip, with two days of driving the Nordschleife, an expensive toll-road but possibly the greatest racetrack in the world. My video footage indicates a lap time of 9min. 16sec. on my first day.
Passenger was Andi Brodie, an American living in Germany. Skip to 5 mins. for start.
