greddy rs bov issues?
Well last week i was driving my car casually down the high way at a steady pace with a srt4 and didnt do too bad had no issues whats so ever and the next day i go to get in my car and drive down the road and at like 4500 rpms wot and not lifting out at all the bov just opens. And opens hard it really does it in long pulls but dosent do it in 3 rd or 4th idk what the deal it.... I checkedd all my couplers and t bolts they are tight as heck.... Then a friend of mine told me to check the adjustment screw maybe it backed off.... So i checked it... I ended up tightening it up some more.. im not running anything special just a 3 inch turbo back.. and a fmic with ets lower and a k&n filter on a maf adapter... I checked all the vaccum lines and they are solid no holes no signs of wear or anything and i had the valve off its self and the piston was very nice and firm on tension lighting pressing on it so spring isnt wore out.... The valve its self is maybe..... 1.5 years old maybe less. And idk what its deal is.... If diaphram was bad it would surge all the time ya know and not randomly.... Theis has my stumped cuz i reallly cant drive my car to its full ability could someone help me with this i would.greatly appreciate any help of feedback on this and if someone wanted to help me out texting would be alot easier for me to do since i only access this site from my mobile browser... Shoot me a message saying ude like to help and ill shoot u my number thanks alot.and i hope to hear from somebody soon this has me sad...=\
Do not panic my friend. Disconnect the hose for the vacuum feed, squirt A LITTLE WD 40 to lube the shaft.
Lubing the shaft is always good, but the lube can damage the diaphram, so only a little!!!
And your problem will be fixed. I went through many agonising weeks trying to figure this out. Three years later and never another boost leak.
