Vishnu's Evo on car and driver
Yes, but they said for $6,000 it put out about 310hp.
My evo (considering the conversion off the dyno) puts out about 305-310 and that's with under $600 in mods!!
Plus, the AMS silver EVO placed 2nd!!!!!!

I saw that as well but the vishnu site only shows 2200 - 2450 for that package.....I wonmder if that is w/ install and tuning....
Still they sadi that the AMS car idle like **** and was hard for regular drivong but great for track...Which isn't what most of ya'll use the car for.....

FWIW, $2500 of the total modification price was the wheels (volks) and sway bar. A few hundred $ was for the underbody splitter. The power mods was basically an old version of the Stage Zero+ (XEDE, cat-back and downpipe). At the time, this cost around $2000. But this was way back when we didn't even have control over boost or any of the ignition control features we currently have. This is why we are now aking the same power now with just an XEDE (without any exhaust mods).

Gauging mod price vs. speed is only really accurate if we're talking just power modifications. Case in point, my Evo is at Works right now getting worked on. The total mod cost will be around $7000 including install, but only about $3000 of that is on power modifications ... and the handling should be significantly better than comparable hp mods (I havn't gotten the modded car on the dyno yet, but we expect over 330+ flywheel hp out of this setup (probably more ... that was the original ballpark))
It's still gotta pretty neat to have Car and Driver knock on your door for a car!
And you guys are right, several of those cars were $80k cars and had much more hp with higher numbers! Case in point, that WRX I think had 450hp.
