They don't like much more than 17, but I was running 22+ with mine on my DSM. I've read on here of a few running them with their EVOs.

I'm running a type s as well and it works fine. I'm running stock boost for now. It spikes to 20psi and then creeps back down to 17psi After I did Silver Surfer's mod it works and sounds better than the stock BOV. If you don't take the smaller of the 2 springs out than the type s is no good for the Evos.

yea but did you take the smaller spring out? The BOV without the mod will hold up to 30 psi. With the smaller spring taken out it should hold 24-25psi with no problems.

Or you can just go to www.roadraceengineering.com and order a Greddy Type-S kit which comes pre modified for our evo's and with the bracket, all for $230.

This is the respose I got from RRE reguarding what BOV they run in their cars...
"We use the GReddy Type S BOV. We modify it a little, we add a pressure
source to the adapter and that allows it to open easily. It blows back in
and is an easy bolt on. $230 for the kit.

is the type s supposed to blow off in a whoosh type sound all at once or is it supposed to have a fluttering sound?
