MR shift console to stock shift console

Okay, so I really like the way the stock shift console looks. In the attached picture you'll see the top photo is of a stock evo shift console. I like the ring around it.
The photo on the bottom is of the MR shift console...

What would I have to replace to get that stock evo shift console? What modifications would be needed?

Honestly not a big deal, but it's one of the only interior modifications I want to do. I like it the way it is, but wouldn't mind getting that along with a greddy counterweight shift knob (or something that works with the 6 speed...) That and trading my VIII seats for a set of IX seats

Step one: take the old one out.
Step two: put the new one in.
Done.

I'm not so sure it is as easy as everyone is saying since they don't have the 6 speed, you could try and find a local person to make sure that the throw of the shifter is short enough that it would not rub.
