Destroyed transmission?

My friend has an 05 evo and his driveway is a steep hill, probably a 30% incline. I know crazy. But he left the car in gear and forgot to put the brake on. He left it like that for a week. He called me up and asked me to check his car out because it shifted weird. Third gear felt weird getting into any every gear was harder than normal. My question is did he screw up his tranny?

Probably, but not by parking in gear.

The car would probably pull itself out of gear and roll down the driveway before it did damage.

Sounds like someone abused the car the wrong way.

I can't see how parking on a hill in gear will affect the tranny.

Just a thought, but it could pull the motor/trans mounts irregularly and cause a shift cable to bind.
