3" 3.5" or 4" exhaust

are there any power gains from 3" to 3.5, or 4" exhaust?

thinking about making one w/ some stainless and maybe a bullet muffler

couldnt find much about it though my hks exhaust seems to be restrictive and seeing aaron's car make a sig amount of power by changing the muffler???

any ideas

The only time I would upgrade from 3" exhaust is when I hit over 600 whp. I heard that a 3.5 inch exhaust is good from 600+ and a 4" is 1000+ I think anything over a 3'' is too much

THIS is what i thought... im at 711 and mine seems a lil restrictive and actually quiet i think ill log a pull w/ current exhaust then make a 3.5" one and log it and put it into the virtual dyno w/out any tuning and see if it does anything and if not ill chalk it up to learning experience haha

i hate quiet cars

You will also be adding some extra weight with the 4 inch one

Unless if it's titanium or aluminum.

im no exhaust expert, but from my understanding 3 inch is plenty good for most applications. since your over 700whp, you might see some gains from a 3.5. be interesting to see a back to back log, so i think you should do it!

4 inch is supra quad digit HP. i would stick with a 3.5 max, but hey what the heck do i no haha

BR, 3" turbo back, two mufflers, 9.04 at 159.64. A good 3" is enough.

I got a 3.5" with 785hp and it works well. Not a bunch of gain but its piece of mind for more power in the future.

A nice flowing straight-through 3" should the job well if you're under 600hp imo.
