My $2,100 FP HTA Green

I just want to start of by saying be careful when buying a used turbo on the forum. Im not saying all sellers are bad because that is far from the truth. I have had all good experiences with this exception. I paid $1350 for a used hta green back in January. It was the biggest mistake I ever made. I was told it only had 1800 miles on it and it was in excellent condition. Well I finally got my car put together and ready to tune for the summer only to find that now I was getting smoke at idle and after boost. So I sent the turbo to fp and got a bill for $745 worth of repair that needs to be done. Now the guy I bought it from will not reply to any of my messages so it looks like ill be stuck paying the bill. Btw his sn is "turbotekray" so be careful when buying from him. I will now probably own the most expensive green out there. So to everyone out there be careful when buying used! I know I have learned my lesson.

This isn't something that should have been posted publically, it's something that should be handled in private, be it with the seller or the admins.

I've sent him numerous emails without a response. How else can it be taken care of?

Whenever I see someone quoting mileage on used parts I'm usually thinking BS.

I've been sending emails for weeks and weeks. This guy has been avoiding me since the sale. He was suppose to send me the original invoice and kept avoiding sending it to me. Its not like this just happened. He's been avoiding me for a while now.

There is no slander in his post... He stated what he bought, the description as per the seller, what he had to do to correct the problem, and now the lack of communication from the seller...

Thanks for the heads up

Aftermarket turbos are not something I'd ever buy used unless I personally know and trust the seller.

I didn't read anything bad the OP said. He was just saying his story about what happened. All he did was give the name of the person he got it from. I actually appreciate it for the heads up.

1st of all my aplogies but I have yet to receive any emails from you. Logged in as a friend sent me a facebook message linking me to this thread. As you will see, this is my 1st login to evo m in months. As for the turbo , it did intact had less than 1800 miles as it belonged to a customer and i pulled it of his car. For fp to say the turbo is over 2 yrs old its clearly bs as I have the original invoice of when it was ordered through my company. As u saw the turbo had no major play when.delivered . I will dig up the original invoice and send it to you as well as pm me who you are talking to at fp so.I can speak to them.
