Evo fluid maintence
Evo fluid maintence
Since I've oned a dsm, I want to make sure my evo maintence is on point with my 06 evo.
Well Its about to come out of the garage, I want to change all the fluids in it. I'm looking to do an oil change, and also change the transfercase fluid, tranny fluid rear diff fluid and the fluid in the acd system.
I know i need certain fluid, for the transfercase, and also the acd. I was wondering if someone can point me the right direction to get these fluids. I want oem fluids at least for the transfercase and tranny and acd. Im not lookng to spend an arm and a leg. Ive done some searching, and im a lil confused on what id want to get. I really dont wanna get it all from the dealer, usually to expensive. Just let me know and point me in the right direction, with vendors etc.
Thanks for the space..

^ and also for the rear diff
should be $40-$50 for a 1-gallon container from the dealer
tranny = diaqueen 75W/85 fluid, this is about $100 for a 1-gallon container
acd i've no idea, i didnt touch mine

--note, he doesnt list the redline cocktail thats very popular with evo owners and works really well. I am using it right now and shifts are awesome, no notchy cold fluid shifting anymore. Its basically 2 qts redline mt90,1qt redline MTL.

Im Using his recommended fluids and drain intervals on my evo that sees dd and frequent track time. Its a bit more frequent servicing but Id rather spend $10 on a quart of redline than $2k for a new drivetrain component. I personally have an issue with .78 quarts of TC fluid lasting 30k that the oem specifies for servicing,
