Can I do a Boost leak test like this?

I wanted to know if I can attach the tester to the end of the AEM intake like the pic (i've read 5 threads and all are to the turbo itself) The intake is a PAIN to take off and put back correctly so I wanted to simplify my life by doing this

Stock solenoid is on so what needs to be removed, capped plugged ETC

Yes, unless that's a pringles lid.

I don't know it's just a pic I found and it's not a pringles lid hahaha. This guy bought it at autozone and the lid is a knockoff plate from home depot

What needs to be capped plugged etc if it's the stock soleniod?

i would make a tester that goes onto the turbo that is strictly for boost leak testing. reason i say this is you should epoxy the cap onto the tube going on the turbo inlet. something like this: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html

if not the top can pop off and it comes off with some force behind it. happend to me before i epoxyed the top on mine, and it took a good chunk out of my friends finger and that was only at 20psi. the same thing can happen if you just try to worm clamp the top onto that intake pipe

If you are doing it like shown in the picture you should not have to plug anything off because the solenoid will be routed back into the intake tube.

That's pretty much how I do it, shouldn't be any problems.

I don't plug anything but at the same time I can't guarantee my way of doing it is perfect

I go up to 10psi, I've been told that going above that can blow the seals on the turbo.

you should go to the psi that you run for boost. sometimes a leak doesnt show up until 20+psi

That's what I did before, until I was told that going over 10psi can blow the seals on the turbo since there's no oil circulation.

Looks , good to me you only need a few psi to find out the problem if there is.
