Help!!! 03 bad evo!

I own a 2003 evo 8 and lately i have been having misfire issues. it started out when i would be cruising along around 60 miles an hour and almost feel like i just pushed the clutch in part way. if i let off the gas and then try to accelerate it would clear up for a while, but if i try to accelerate without letting off first the car just shakes and hardly speeds up. i figured the problem was electrical so i changed the plugs, re gapped the new ones down to spec, replaced the plug wires and even bought two new coil packs. the problem seemed to clear up for a bit but was still intermittent. now i am getting this shaking and misfiring in every gear and i cant take it. electrical wires to the coil packs bad? bad tune? possible big problem??? if anyone has had this kind of problem and can help i would greatly appreciate it!!

Sounds like what I went through before I had a tune done. Using sh*tty fuel also does it too.

Sounds like the p0300 code is being set. Maybe your SES light is out.

i have recently changed my fuel pump to a walbro 255 and other than that the car is pretty much stock with the exception of a short ram air intake.... pardon my ignorance and newbish ways but if i bought a tactrix cable would i be able to find a stock map on the forums somewhere and reflash the ecu with that? im thinking this car was pretty modded up at one point in time and the go fast parts were stripped before it was sold and then maybe never retuned to stock??? im really hoping thats all the problem is

That wouldn't be a bad starting point. You're on the right track.
