I got a Megan manifold and I wanted to know if it would change the exhaust sound

 

I had a megan exhaust manifold on my last evo it didnt change the sound. Personally i think it reduced the performance and it ended up cracking after about 2 years. I switched to stock ported and was much happier.

 

My megan cracked after 6 months of having it. and my was in the shop for about 2 months. So like the guy above stock mani ported.+1

 

yea it will make it sound like your car has exhaust leaks... oh wait, thats cause it does from all the cracks

 

Sell the Megan & pick up a ToxicFab manifold. You won't have to worry about the ToxicFab cracking, it will change the exhaust sound, in a good way. Very little spool lose compared to a ported stocker & top end will be much better. Plus, hes in Houston, so your not far from him. Can't beat ToxicFab quality.

 

I cant vouch for the megan, but my full race changed the exhaust note a little bit. It sounds more harmonic going through the revs.

 

Yup it will sound differnt. And im sorry to hear you went megan they have a bad track record on here.

 

When going from a stock manifold, to a ported & coated stock manifold, what changes do you notice?

Less spool?
More top end?
More low end?
